Paula Dietz
Ph.D., RT(R)(M), ARRT

Hello, and welcome to the incredible journey of becoming a radiographer! My name is Dr. Paula Dietz, and I’m honored to help you achieve your goal of passing the ARRT.

I’ve spent more than 20 years in radiography, with a special focus on mammography and breast biopsy. Along the way, I’ve also worked in orthopedic imaging and Level 2 trauma care. Today, I serve as a Program Director where I get to help students—just like you—grow into skilled professionals.

Education has always been my passion. I hold a PhD in Higher Education Leadership, a Master’s and bachelor’s in radiologic sciences, and I’m certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in both radiography and mammography.  Beyond the classroom, I stay active in the profession as a JRCERT Site Visit Team Chair, mentor in the ASRT Student Leadership Development Program, textbook reviewer, published author, and conference presenter.

What drives me most is student success—from preparing for the ARRT exam, to advocating for our profession, to supporting mental health in education. I believe that none of us are born knowing everything; it’s our willingness to learn that leads to success.

Outside of work, I call South Carolina home, where I enjoy hiking, gardening, and exploring the outdoors with my husband and our two dogs.
